VANCOUVER, BC. – Cummins Inc |Energie Power Ltd. (NYSE:CMI) has named Charles Masters President of Cummins Western Canada.

Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Cummins Western Canada supports a broad range of markets, including mining, oil and gas, power generation, agriculture as well as on- and off-road vehicles across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Western Ontario.

Western Canada operates 14 service branches to serve and support a diverse base of Cummins and Onan customers – playing an important role in growing Cummins’ North American Distribution business and contributing to the success of the company’s customers.

“I look forward to working with our skilled and committed employee base to see Western Canada continue to grow and flourish in the short and long-term,” said Masters.

Masters, who joined Cummins in 2003, brings a broad range of international and functional business experiences to the role. He most recently served as Executive Director- Sales, in Cummins Turbo Technologies (CTT), where he played a key role in winning first fit and aftermarket business with new customers, developing and maturing the company’s business planning and sales development processes, enhancing customer service, and improving analytics-led decision making.

Masters began his career with Cummins in a purchasing role in Cummins Filtration.  Masters has also held roles in strategy, plant management, operations and general management across the globe, including the United States, Belgium and China. Prior to Cummins, Masters worked at Kimberly-Clark serving in various roles including sales, marketing and business development in Calgary, Victoria and Toronto.

A citizen of Canada, Masters has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and a certified Diversity Facilitator. Masters is relocating  to Vancouver in the second quarter of 2015.
